I love distance running! I was on my high school’s varsity cross country and track teams, and even held a school record at one point. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance to compete in track during my senior year of hight school because of the pandemic. Here are a few of my best times:


These days I’m not nearly as conditioned as I used to be, but I did recently run the Life Time Chicago Half Marathon this past September and finished with a time of 1:52:27!

My love for running as a sport fostered an interest in splits and racing in general. I have always loved video games, so naturally speedrunning eventually became an interest of mine as well. I recorded and posted a console run of Super Mario 64’s “16 Star” category to speedrun.com on November 28th, 2022:


I have ran times much faster on emulators, but enjoyed the added challenge of having to use the N64‘s bizarre controller. If you’re interested in learning more about video game speedrunning I recommend checking out Summoning Salt or Bismuth on YouTube.

I’m red-green colorblind. I remember that for a long time as a kid I refused to believe this was the case, but after coming home with colored pencil drawings of a green Chewbacca and failing multiple color blindness tests it became pretty obvious. also see...
